Hello! My name is Rebekah, and I am a Texas-bred graphic designer living right outside the nation’s capital in Alexandria, Virginia with my husband, Chris, and our cuddly canine, Jasper. I am the girl behind the blog, and I also run a small design business where I specialize in logos & branding, custom stationery, and hand-lettering.
Graphic design fell into my lap many years ago after a creative co-worker took a chance on a very green but ambitious young artist like myself and gave me my first design opportunity, post college. Not long after that, I was introduced to the wonderful world of stationery when I got engaged and made my own wedding invitations, and that’s when my love for design began. Since then, I’ve spent the last few years designing custom invitations and party goods, dabbling in hand-lettering, designing logos for creative and non-profit clients, and opened an Etsy shop, where I continue to sell art prints, cards, and printable invitations.
Upon moving to Virginia in the spring of 2015, I providentially found a job at a notable design firm, where I specialized in logo design, branding, and marketing. However, after years of working for someone else and not being fully satisfied creatively, I recently took the plunge into self-employment. With the encouragement of my supportive, rock-star husband, I quit my job and am now running my design business full-time and enjoying the freedom and challenges of being my own boss.
Here on the blog, you’ll find lots of inspiration, including current design projects, behind-the-scenes of design work and daily life, and other creative happenings in my world.
