For the last two years, I’ve had the opportunity to design the t-shirt graphic for our town’s annual Run for the Children, a 1K, 5K, and 10K run that raises support for Virginia’s House, a local non-profit organization that reaches out to abused and neglected children. I also have had the privilege of being the volunteer photographer for the event both years. Maybe it’s the journalist inside of me, but I love this kind of photography – telling stories through photojournalism. I don’t do it for a living, but when I get the opportunity to do it for fun, I jump at it. Well, this past Saturday, hundreds of people showed up from all around Texas to meet on the town square to run, volunteer, and show their support, and it made for a fun and energy-filled morning in Graham, TX.
